Hongyu Zhang现任澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学大学副教授。他曾担任微软亚洲研究院的主管研究员（lead researcher）和清华大学副教授。2003年于新加坡国立大学获得博士学位。他的研究领域是软件工程，尤其是软件解析、测试、维护、度量和重用。其研究主题旨在通过挖掘软件数据提升软件质量和生产力。曾在国际期刊和会议发表学术论文100余篇，包括TSE、TOSEM、ICSE、FSE, POPL, AAAI, ASE, ISSTA, ICSM, ICDM和USENIX ATC等，曾获得ACM优秀论文奖（ACM Distinguished Paper awards）。担任多个软件工程会议的程序委员会委员。详细信息见http://sites.google.com/site/hongyujohn/。
报告摘要：
Over years of software development, a vast amount of software engineering data has been generated. These data include source code, bug reports, metrics, console logs, execution traces, etc. Many organizations are now maintaining large softwarerepositories. The open source movement also significantly increases the amount of data from avariety of sources.Various data analytics techniques can be applied to mine the software engineering data with the aim ofimproving software quality and development productivity. Software development, testing, debugging, and maintenance tasks can be also automated. In this talk, I will briefly introduce some of my recent work on data-driven approaches to software engineering.
