报告人简介:Antony Tang is Associate Professor in Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. He received a PhD degree in Information Technology from Swinburne in 2007. Prior to being a researcher, he had spent many years designing and developing software systems. He had developed and led the design of front and back office stockbroking systems, cheque clearing systems and electronic payment systems for central banks and financial institutions. His main research interest is how to design good large-scale systems. This main issue leads him to investigate software architecture design reasoning, software development processes, team work and software architecture knowledge management.
 
报告摘要:It is traditional to think of architecture design as a result of solving some requirements and turning them into components and connectors. A process with which we typically use to create an architecture design is to apply certain technical knowledge through some intuitive thinking. However, there are many factors that influence how an end design would look like. Some of these factors are concerned with the way human think and reason, and these factors have been taken for granted in software engineering. In this talk, I discuss what these factors are and how they influence software architects. I also discuss some ways of overcoming these issues.
