丁立新，武汉大学软件工程国家重点实验室教授、博士生导师，湖北省杰出青年人才基金获得者。武汉大学计算机软件与理论专业博士，海军工程大学兵器科学与技术博士后科研流动站博士后。中国计算机学会会员，ACM(Association for Computing Machinery)会员，IEEE_CIS(Computational Intelligence Society)技术委员会委员。从事智能计算、智能信息处理、机器学习等领域的研究工作，主持承担863高技术计划项目、国家自然科学项目、省市科技项目等10余项，发表论文80余篇，其中60余篇论文被SCI/EI等索引。City University of Hong Kong（香港城市大学）、The Australian National University（澳大利亚国立大学）、The University of Texas at Dallas（德州大学）、University of Essex（埃塞克斯大学）等院校高级访问学者。中国科学（信息版）、计算机学报、Information Processing Letter、IEEE Trans. on System, Man & Cybernetics（Part B）、IEEE Trans. on Evolutionary Computation、Artificial Intelligence等国内外权威刊物的审稿专家，CIS、ISICA、ICNC、ICIC、IWACI等国际会议的程序委员会委员或Special Session Chair。

       主讲博士研究生课程“高级智能计算”和硕士研究生课程“并行计算”。

       曾主持国家自然科学基金（60204001；60975050）、国家教育部博士点基金（20070486081）、湖北省青年杰出人才基金（2005ABB017）、湖北省自然科学基金以及武汉市青年科技辰光计划等课题。
